the highs and highs of the weekend

am sore from SOUNDS. geez, i'm not as young as i used to be. the kind people at INTHEMIX assumed my ticket had been lost in the post and put my name on the door. hooray for free tickets and messy rooms.
had a crazy dance and it was wicked fun. music was fan-fuckin'-tastic with a couple of lulls not worth mentioning.
THE PRESETS were amazing. steamworks blew my mind and need no words. they threw in a cheeky mash up of down down down and HUNG UP which admittedly put a massive grin on my face.
the BANG GANG tent was so bad it was great. they played lots of cheese with a pinch of tack that was sure to get you giddy like a lil school girl. i found that i couldn't pelvic thrust enough to keep up. there was definitely a moment in there (BLOC PARTY's banquet & tiga's YOU GONNA WANT ME) and was sad to leave and check out other acts.
VAN SHE rocked out with their cock out. it was not nice being locked out of the hordern... 'spesh in the freezing, biting cold.. but apparently didn't miss much with GRANDMASTER FLASH on the decks. SANDY RIVERA played his finally and strings of life which were silly fun to bounce around to, and the hype of JAMES ZABIELA went over my head, opting for DIGITALISM instead who were a great finish to the night.
oh, and big ups to OZLOCOS who belted out their tracks and had us groupies following intently. ;)
alright, enough with the snooty review and onto the soccer!
battled the complete fatigued which encompassed me to check out the SOCCEROOS play last night. well worth it.
was *hughesy* feeling. very. angry. about japan's fluke goal and thought we definitely out-played them. well rewarded with the last 6mins, and after our messy equaliser, was great to see CAHILL boot it home before ALOISI beat two defenders and put it past the keeper. gold. pure gold. :)

ps. made the GLASS HOUSE cut. 'twas fun and gave everyone a laugh. and the answer is yes, i took my tooth out.. on national tv. ;) loves it.
